The most important thing to know is:
- Don’t leave in direct sunlight or in a warm/hot area for too long, The icing will melt.
- Travel in cooled car, those back seats can get very hot in summer.
- Store in fridge.
- Allow to reach room temp before eating, (1-2 hours out of fridge) the icing tastes so much better if its soft.

Yes, the cakes hold well in the frige up to 3 days before serving. The buttercream icing keeps the cake from losing moisture while stored in the fridge.

The website booking system automatically adjusts availability depending on our max capacity. We are only a small team, so can only make 10 cakes per day. Ordering 1-3 weeks in advance usually means there will still be space. The ordering system will not allow less than 2 days notice as we won’t have time.

All orders are placed through the from sugar website. If you would like a fully custom cake you can email or message on instagram @from__sugar, however, please allow time for response as we can only check those once every day or two.

Extra charge for fully custom cakes will be at our discretion and we may not take designs that don’t align with the from sugar brand. We will also tailor the design a little as we don’t like to copy other baker’s work. However we will always try to keep the style and aesthetic of the cake as you want.

Yes we do! We want ordering the cake and having it show up on time to be the least of your worries when organizing your event! We deliver to most of Auckland for just $10 (postal codes in delivery zone are confirmed at checkout.) Deliveries arrive between 7am-10am so you don’t have to spend your day worrying about it

Unfortunately we have not been able to create a vegan buttercream recipe that doesn’t melt at room temp yet. The second we do we’ll be shouting it from the rooftops!
